Scope of Construction Management and Architecture in New Zealand.

Courses in architecture are not mentioned in the long term skill shortage list, however, construction courses are in high demand so what is the future/scope in New Zealand?

Ans: Architecture is not in the long term skill shortage list, but it is in something called the identified future growth areas so new Zealand as a country has taken a strategy to identify certain sectors and grow them. So these three sectors are The Creative Industries, The Information Technology Industry, and The Biotechnology Industry. These are the three areas which are the identified future growth areas of New Zealand and architecture is one of the identified future growth areas so the scope is there. Construction is probably a good idea but if you are a good architect you will find employment in that area also. It’s again got to be driven by your heart as much as by your mind if it's your real passion stick to it if you say no it is not my real passion I'm happy to move into a more generic sort of a situation where I can get our job easier then maybe construction is the option.
