I've
got a letter from both UOA and UOC for masters in construction management
through AJV which one would you suggest to accept?
Ans : They
are both equally very good universities and there is no doubt that they are
both top-quality universe it is I would strongly recommend that you consider
going to Christchurch because of the fact that Christchurch is still going
through the rebuild which it had after the earthquake so there is still a lot
of construction activity happening in Christchurch and which is the reason that
you will be able to translate well into work after you complete not at the reserve
no work in Auckland but the other advantage of being in Christchurch is that if
you do find a relevant job of a completely a course you will also get those
extra 30 points towards immigration towards your resident visa in which can be
a massive advantage because you know immigration the resident visa is you know
the ones getting the highest number of points are obviously picked first from
the boom so if you finish your course and find a job in Auckland and let's say
you are at 170 points technically you have crossed at 160 and you can get into
you can be picked from the pool and you can go through the resident visa
process but if you are let's say add two hundred instead of 170 because you're
in Christchurch and you're getting that extra 30 points yeah you're going to
get big much faster and you know the processing would be much quicker as well and
I think as a policy the government is trying to encourage people to move out of
Auckland so purely from that point I think University of Canterbury is probably
a good choice and fantastic University one of the most renowned universities in
the world in fact we have nuclear power today in the world thanks to University
of Canterbury because Sir Ernest Rutherford who is a wasn't a New Zealander did
his research here at the University of Canterbury so it's quarter of fantastic
history and then he did his research here and then he went on to you know do
the work which led to the splitting of the atom which is why we have nuclear power
today so uh I've been fortunate to be to go to the University of Canterbury a
few times and fantastic place and great campus beautiful ambiance and
Christchurch is a beautiful city to live as well.
