Do any major IT companies have their campuses
in New Zealand?
Ans. I haven't seen a Microsoft campus or haven't
seen a Google campus I haven’t been seen a lot of big campuses, to be honest, and
I don't think major IT companies will have campuses in New Zealand simple the reason because they set up large campuses in countries like India and Philippines and developing nations
why because the cost of labor is so cheating so to hire a graduate in New
Zealand who's just completed let's say a Bachelors of Technology in computers you'll
have to pay that young man in $60,000 for that same $60,000 you could probably
hire 6-7 young IT engineers in a place like India or Philippines so that's
obviously, the whole outsourcing model work so because of that fact you will hardly
see any of those large companies having their campuses and other developed
nations and they prefer to have them in developing nations so that's the simple the reason why they will not be large campuses here in New Zealand approval but
they're doing a lot of business out of New Zealand in fact last week I got an
email from Google because my team and I are subscribed to Google and a
few other application providers and I got an email saying as the administrator
today we're changing our billing from Google Singapore to Google New Zealand so
from now onwards your invoice is going to say something else that oh so they're
all doing business in New Zealand but they don't have large campuses.
