Want
to study BA journalism in New Zealand and I want to get citizenship how many
years it takes to get citizenship?
Ans: Journalism
is an interesting subject you're choosing because journalism is one of those
it's good it's not often that I get somebody asking me to talk about journalism
it's mostly about subjects like IT and business and chemistry and so on and so
forth let's get together I worry about our journalism well falls under something
called an identified future growth area for New Zealand so besides the long
term skill shortage list which is published a list for us we also have something
called the identified future growth areas and this was subdivided into three
main areas first are information technology there's biotechnology and then there
is the creative industries under the creative industries I think there is
architecture journalism creative industrial flows film making radio-television
all that kind of stuff so journalism is in our identified future growth area
and I guess there's also a reasonable level of ethnic journalism trends that
are beginning to form now in New Zealand so there could be opportunities for
you as far as citizenship is concerned you'll have the first-come do you
course get yourself a post-study work visa get yourself a job related to the
course you've completed from that job you could either move into an essential
skills or another post-study work visa with our employer resisted if they don't
change the rules that are and then after that, you could apply for your residency
and find five years of your residency is when or you would get your citizenship
subject to meeting certain conditions and you need to have maintained met all
those conditions before you can get your citizenship so it would be an
interesting person to work with for us because it's not often we get people who
are interested in journalism so please to connect with us and does your CV to info@ajvglobal.com and we'll come back and give you some good
advice.
