New visa policies for spouse visa.

Does new rule changes create any difficulty for a spouse visa?

Ans. One of the only areas where it has become a little narrow with the new rule changes is that in future only those people who are studying for level 9 masters or a level 10 Ph.D. have a very clear pathway towards getting those spouses into the country for the others it's a bit more difficult because what they have done is they kind of cut down a little bit on the ability of students to be able to come in with their spouses the first rule number one if you're planning to come to New Zealand along with your spouse it makes simple and straightforward it makes sense to choose a level nine or a level 10 program which is a master or a Ph.D. simple you get into yourself into a masters or a Ph.D. can accompany you no problem on a work visa if you are looking at a level eight program or a level seven program then it has to be an exact match to qualification on the long term skill shortage list of NZ in them and last week I sat down and looked at the long term skills shortage list of years in then there are not a lot of level eight programs there are a lot of level seven programs which are mostly bachelors so if you were to choose a bachelor's which is there on the long term skills footage list yes your spouse can come on work visa or if you're choosing a level 8 program and I think I saw only one level eight I think so I mean please don't put me on this because I'm just running off the top of my head but I think there was only just one level 8 program or in the long term skill shortage list and that was in psychology so there are not a lot of level 8 programs on the long term skill shortage list and most of the level's events are all the bachelors levels interestingly there was graduate diploma level 7 and construction management and construction related they were two or three graduate diploma so it's an interesting policy.
