My friend's post-study work visa will expire in October is there any way for him to continue staying in New Zealand with the new policy he did graduate diploma level seven?

Because his post-study work visa open is expiring before the new policy kicks in he will be under the old policy which means he needs to get a relevant job and apply for the two-year post having work ways our employer-assisted if he wants after the new policy comes in he can go back to Immigration Department and ask for a variety of conditions and say get rid of the employer employers name from my post-study work visa so that every time in future he changes location or employer it does not have to keep going back to the Immigration Department.
