How is the polytechnic of New Zealand compared with University and which are the top polytechnic colleges of New Zealand?
Ans. In New Zealand we have three kinds of institutions we have universities we have Polytechnic which are also called in skills of Technology in fact they call IDPs which is in stills of Technology and politically and then we have the private training establishments which are called PTA so the universities and the IT piece which is the polytechnics are owned and operated by the Danville to New Zealand so they're basically government entities which are working group of the government guidelines and the private training establishments that of course started by private parties and run by them so in seals of technology or polytechnics are safe and a good place to go to because they are owned and operated by the government of New Zealand and I think the reason they were started was to instill and impart more technical skills I think they initially started off as places which were giving more hands-on trades kinds of like carpentry and those kinds of actual hands-on trades but over a period of time they evolved and they have not there are IDPs in New Zealand which I think would compare very well with the University so they're offering master so I'm not sure if anybody is offering a Ph.D. but I think they are offering master's and PG diplomas and everything else are politics because a very good option and each region has got one or two political in Auckland, for instance, Unitec is one of the largest polytechnics and Auckland up followed by Monica Institute of
Technology or MIT which is in South Auckland which you know back in the day was like a separate region altogether where I live in Hamilton we have to microphone Institute of Technology also called Wintec in Napier there is these TVs Institute of Technology in Wellington there is Wellington instead of Technology in Christchurch and there used to be Christchurch Polytechnic instead of Technology which is now re-branded and it was now called ERA so that's what so that's how it is you know so politics are all over the country but good institutions well managed well-run and absolutely doing a good job with this Students I think over the last 10 years they've grown very significantly and I think there are I think according to the last statistics there are more students going to polytechnics than two universities.
