For how long is it mandatory to maintain funds in account?

Is it ok to save around 8400 New Zealand dollars in my bank account no need to transfer back to Sri Lanka how much longer I should keep that money here in my account?

Ans. Yes, It is a requirement to be able to show $4,200 for a dependent if you are applying for their visa there is no set limit tell that you it has to be in your account throughout a particular time that is more a requirement when you are applying for your student visa from Sri Lanka or India then these officers like to see that the funds have been there for at least a minimum period of time which is normally around six months this is what they expect but once you are on shore in New Zealand and you are trying to apply for your dependent visas I have noticed that there isn't such a large
requirement as long as the money is there in your account on the day that you are filing for you we say it seems to be all right I don't know if they will change it but at the moment there is no requirement that the funds have to be old and stuff like that.
