How can chefs apply for long term skill residency.

What are the requirements for chefs to apply the long-term skill residency?

Ans. Getting the direct residency in New Zealand is almost impossible not unless and until you have studied here in New Zealand for two years doing a masters or a PhD or the other condition is that you need to have a job offer skilled employment offering New Zealand or being skilled employment in New Zealand to be able to apply for a resident resigned from your question it appears you're obviously not in New Zealand at the moment so you will need to first get yourself into New Zealand because the other complication is if you're not in New Zealand and you're trying to find work here I think hardly anybody will actually even bother to look at your CV because why would any employer go to the trouble of trying to find somebody overseas when they're already lot of chefs here in New Zealand already I mean not only are our own young students or Kiwi students and our international students are passing and out of you know culinary schools in New Zealand so there's already a good supply of chefs and in New Zealand and also because we are a large tourist destination in the world tourism is our number one industry there is a constant flow of tourists coming in to be New Zealand and which means there's always a massive requirement for chefs in New Zealand so a lot of people who also come to New Zealand are coming on something called working holiday visa which is a mostly for a certain set of countries so young people from there also come and then they work as chefs and stuff like that so the trick really if you're applying to get wanting to get residency in New Zealand is that you need to be on shore in New Zealand and to be in onshore the best pathway which is what we keep suggesting all time is come for a course come for studies in New Zealand if you do the right course you will be here for one year for the course plus another year which is the post study work visa so you have two whole years to be able to put yourself in front of an employer and get a job and when you get that job is when you will get the required number of points to apply for residency hope that is clear so connect with our team and we will take it forward after this particular check.
