Ans. If you're if you are applying to come on the postgraduate
diploma and if the spouse also intends to enter on a work visa if you are
applying before the 26th of November 2018 then the spouse would be eligible for
a work visa 50:19under the partnership category but if you are applying for of
course after the 26th of November or if your student visa is granted after the
26th of November then the spouse work visa is applicable only if you are opting
for a master or a Ph.D. course if you are not opting for a Ph.D. course or a
masters if you are opting for a course which is below level 9 or level 10 like
a postgraduate diploma which is level 8 or looking at a level 7 course then it
has to be a specific match to the long term skills shortage list of New Zealand
so to be on the safe side any of you're planning to come on the work visa as a spouse to New Zealand before the policy changes I recommend that you put your application
send before the 26th of November to be on the safe side if you cross that particular
date then the option is that you do not apply for a work visa as a spouse but
you can apply for a visitor visa as a spouse see that year through while the
spouse completes the course and then once the spouse gets the post-study work
visa then you would then be eligible to work for a work visa because now you
are the spouse who was the student is no longer on a student visa but has moved
onto a work visa so the spa would also become eligible for a Work visa.
